Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Mayor Don Robart officially kicks off the winter season with the 4th Annual Opening Celebration of the Ice Rink at Falls River Square on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 12 noon until 9:00 pm.



"This year is bigger and better than ever!" commented Mayor Robart "From free train rides outside on the FRS Express to complimentary pictures with Santa in the Pavilion, opening day promises to be one spectacular event!"



The fun begins at 12 noon as the Mayor welcomes winter on the ice rink. Exciting events are planned for the entire day including:

Ice Rink Opens at Falls River Square

Mayor Don Robart officially kicks off the winter season with the 4th Annual Opening Celebration of the Ice Rink at Falls River Square on Saturday, November 24, 2007. The ice rink will be open 7 days a week through the holiday and winter break season.


Public Rain Garden Meeting Held By City

In 2004, the City of Cuyahoga Falls submitted a grant request to purchase homes in the 6th and 7th Street area, which have endured repetitive flooding for numerous years. The grant application was approved in September of 2006 and the City recently purchased four homes on 6th and 7th Street between Silver Lake Blvd. and Lincoln Ave., with plans to demolish the homes and create a large-scale rain garden in their place.


2nd Annual Blossom Holiday Lighting Festival

Blossom Music Center will brighten the holiday season with a spectacular drive-through festival of twinkling lights! The 2nd annual Blossom Holiday Lighting Festival presented by Marc's and sponsored by Akron Children's Hospital will be open seven days a week November 15, 2007 through January 6, 2008 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

City of Cuyahoga Falls Recognized for Safety Excellence

By cutting its workers' compensation claims by over 50 percent over the past six years, the City of Cuyahoga Falls has proven it is serious about the safety of its employees. City & SUBWAY® Respond to Red Cross Blood Emergency

The City of Cuyahoga Falls and the Natatorium SUBWAY® announce a very special partnership to address the critical shortage of blood in northeast Ohio. On Thursday, October 4th, the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium will host a Red Cross blood mobile. An open blood drive for the general public will run from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm that day. All presenting blood donors will receive a coupon for a free 6-inch regular sub, good at the Natatorium SUBWAY® for a limited time.

Fall Clean Up

City Selects New Gas Supplier and Locks in New Rate

For up to date information please click hereBeginning November 1, 2007 the City will begin a new contract for the natural gas aggregation program with Direct Energy, offering a one-year fixed rate of $9.854/MCF. The City is also excited to announce there is a Senior Citizen Discount! By calling Direct Energy during the enrollment period, seniors 65-years-of-age or older will receive an additional $0.10/MCF off and pay $9.754/MCF.
