Trade a Ticket For a Toys for Tots Donation

Mayor Don L. Robart announces the start of the Second Annual Trade A Ticket For A Toys For Tots Donation program with the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department this holiday season. Citizens will have the opportunity to trade a traffic warning for a toy donation to Toys for Tots.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Give Blood this Winter and Warm Someone's Heart.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium on Thursday, December 3rd. Partnering with the City, John Schmitt, manager of the Natatorium Subway, is sponsoring this blood drive.

Each presenting donor will receive a coupon for a free, 6-inch regular sub sandwich, redeemable at the Natatorium Subway!

The Ice Rink at Falls River Square Opens This Weekend

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart proudly announces the 6th Annual Ice Rink Opening Celebration on Saturday, November 21, 2009. ttendance grows each year as the rink increases in popularity commented Mayor Robart. e are delighted to continue this fabulous tradition for our residents The Ice Rink at Falls River Square is recognized throughout the region as a family-friendly destination location and this year is certainly no exception.

Opening Day begins at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 21, 2009 with the following events planned:

Giant Stocking Give-away

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart is giving away the world largest Christmas stocking to one lucky winner. Filled with dozens of cool toys for kids, this is one stocking that will definitely not fit down the chimney.

Entry forms will be located at the Ice Rink at Falls River Square beginning on Opening Day, Saturday, November 21, 2009. You may enter each time you visit the ice rink. The winner will be announced on Monday, December 7, 2009. Early entries will be accepted this week in the utility billing office at City Hall.

2009 Community Pride Photo Contest Winners Announced

Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service, would like to announce that thirty-three photo entries were received in the City of Cuyahoga Falls 2009 Community Pride Photo Contest. Community residents submitted photos with the theme he Best of My Home Townfor possible inclusion in the 2010 Official City of Cuyahoga Falls Community Calendar. Three First Place photos were selected. The winning photos were submitted by Debbie Graef, Kaitlyn McCuen, and Mike Woods.

Annual Leaf Pick Up Program Experiencing Delay - update

Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service would like to inform residents that the annual leaf pick up program is underway, but due to the weight and increased volume in leaves this year, the leaf crews are running (3) days behind schedule. However, please continue to rake your leaves to the curb on your scheduled pick up day, as crews are working diligently to catch up.

12th/Jefferson/Phelps Storm & Sanitary Improvements REBID


Sealed proposals will be received in the office of the Director of Public Service, Municipal Building, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, until 12:00 noon, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2009, with bids being opened in Conference Room Second Floor, Municipal Building, 2310 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for the 12th/Jefferson/Phelps Storm & Sanitary Sewer Improvement.

Lane Restrictions on Howe Avenue for Pavement Replacement

Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service would like to alert residents and motorists that beginning on Monday, October 19, 2009, work will commence on the Howe Avenue Concrete Replacement and Storm Sewer Improvement Project. Although traffic will be maintained, there will be eastbound lane restrictions and motorists should expect delays. The eastbound lane restriction will be from the expressway bridge to the railroad bridge; and at no time will westbound lanes be restricted. This work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, October 30, 2009.
