The City of Cuyahoga Falls Celebrates National Arbor Day

Give your favorite tree a hug and celebrate National Arbor Day with a Special Tree Planting Ceremony on  Friday, April 25, 2014  4:00 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third Street. Mayor Don Walters will be reading a special proclamation, and the Richardson Elementary School 3rd grade contest winners, and Boy Scout Troop 160 will also be part of the program. 

2014 Great American River Day Cleanup & Beautification Project

Join your neighbors and friends and help keep Cuyahoga Falls beautiful and litter free! On Saturday, May 17, 2014 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 pm meet at the Little Stone Shelter in Water Works Park. Volunteers will clean up litter, plant flowers and trees, and pull invasive garlic mustard plants at designated public grounds locations. Lunch will be provided in addition to cleanup supplies. 

Bunny Hop Coming to the Quirk Cultural Center

The Easter Bunny will be hopping by for an eggstra special event on Saturday, April 12th from 11 am-1 pm at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Avenue.  This holiday event includes a keepsake photo, light lunch, crafts, games, and an Easter treat bag! Reservations must be made in advance.  Seating will begin at 10:45 am on a first come basis; those wishing to sit together should arrive together. Space is limited, so register early! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Responsibly recycle your old electronic equipment with the City of Cuyahoga Falls and Accurate IT Services on Friday, May 9th 5:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 10th 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Cuyahoga Falls City Service Complex, 2560 Bailey Rd (Entance at Gaylord Grove)

Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce Community Expo

  • The 2014 Community Expo is a 1-day event scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9 am – 3 pm at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium located at 2345 4th Street, Cuyahoga Falls.
  • The Expo will feature over 70 local businesses on display, non-profit clubs, and organization exhibitors with information, giveaways and door prizes. We are anticipating 2000 + attendees from Cuyahoga Falls and surrounding communities! Community
  • Expo doors open at 9 a.m.

Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Seeking Grant For New Boat Launch Facility

         An exciting opportunity could be in the works for the Cuyahoga River at River Front Park in Cuyahoga Falls.  The Parks and Recreation Department has applied for a Cooperative Boating Facility Grant for $116,000 through the Ohio Division of Natural Resources - Division of Watercraft for the construction of a boat launch facility at River Front Park.

Bicentennial Pictorial History Books are in Limited Supply

The Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Book Committee, in conjunction with M.T. Publishing, have done a superb job promoting the Cuyahoga Falls Pictorial History Books.  There are a limited supply of books still available to purchase, so if you haven't picked one up for yourself, a family member or friend, there is still time to buy one!

Cuyahoga Falls Locks in a Natural Gas Rate

Cuyahoga Falls has again chosen IGS Energy as their natural gas supplier beginning with the April 2014 billing period through the June 2014 billing period.  Due to the fluctuation of prices in the natural gas market, the City has elected to go with a fixed price contract for the short term. A fixed rate of $5.18 per MCF for 3 months has been locked in for those residents currently enrolled with the City’s aggregation program.
