Demolition Ceremony Rescheduled

Strong momentum and aggressive redevelopment efforts continue in the downtown central business district. Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at 1:00 pm marks the demolition of the second in a series of older buildings along the South Front Street corridor.

"The demolition of a former car dealership will open a new, green vista to the Cuyahoga River, adjacent to the future High Bridge Glens Park", commented Mayor Don L. Robart. "We've embarked upon a renaissance along the riverfront, one that will change the landscape of South Front Street for years to come".

In collaboration with the partnership of the Sheraton Suites Hotel, the City of Cuyahoga Falls will remediate ground water and soil contamination and facilitate the demolition of the site.

Join Mayor Robart on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 1:00 pm for the demolition ceremony located at the former Morgo Lincoln Mercury site at 1839 Front Street.
