Questions Sought For Forum For Candidates

District residents have the chance to provide the questions for a Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education candidates event next month.

The Keep Improving District Schools committee is organizing a "Meet the School Board Candidate Night" on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. in the community room at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth St.

The five-member committee was formed by Falls Mayor Don L. Robart in February to review the school district recovery plan, investigate alternatives to that plan, solicit community input and recommend new School Board members if the current board resigned.

Joe Brodzinski, a committee member and the finance director for the city of Cuyahoga Falls, said the committee is asking school district residents to send in questions they have for the School Board candidates.

According to Brodzinski, questions can be e-mailed to or they can be mailed to Bill Lohan, the committee chairman, at 643 Dominic Drive, Cuyahoga Falls 44223.

The questions for the candidates event will be selected from the ones sent in by district residents.

"This is the opportunity for the public . . . to get their questions answered before they vote," said Brodzinski.
