City Implements a First-Time Homeowner Welcome Program for Qualified Home Buyers

Mayor Don Walters announces the launch of the First-Time Homeowner Welcome Program.  The premise behind the program is to provide incentives to prospective home buyers to purchase a home in Cuyahoga Falls.  When new residents sign up for City utilities, they will receive a welcome packet containing important City-related information.  The packet for a new resident qualifying under this program will include significant, cost-saving incentive offers from the City and participating local businesses.

City Seeking Vendors for Farmers' Market

The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department is excited to have the Falls Farmers’ Market at the Quirk Cultural Center this summer! We are committed to making an investment in the market and seeing it grow to its full potential. Our mission is to encourage, support and promote the efforts of local farmers, producers and artisans seeking to sell high quality, locally grown, fresh products directly to our local community members.

Electric System Presented With SDS Pinnacle Award

 

The Cuyahoga Falls Electric System announces that they have been awarded the Pinnacle Award for Outstanding Customer Service from SDS Research, LLC.  On March 17th, SDS Research stated, “We warmly congratulate the Cuyahoga Falls Electric System for their commitment to customers, and for their proactive measurement and management of customer loyalty.”  This award is given to companies who rank in the top 10% of all providers who conducted customer research with SDS during 2014, and confirms Cuyahoga Falls' strong performance among its peers.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Makes Every Day Earth Day

Mayor Don Walters invites citizens, businesses and organizations throughout the community to enjoy the 2015 City of Cuyahoga Falls Earth Week displays at City Hall, 2310 Second Street, from Monday, April 20th through Friday, April 24th.  Informational brochures, colorful displays and extraordinary artwork have been designed to help citizens make positive environmental impact through everyday actions. Cuyahoga Falls City Hall is open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

Yard Waste Carts are Now Available

Mayor Don Walters, is pleased to announce the availability of yard waste carts for Cuyahoga Falls sanitation customers again this year starting April 6, 2015.   Due to the continued success of the yard waste cart program, the City has ordered 1000 additional carts and they will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Friends of the Crooked River Hold 25th Annual River Rat Revelry

Friends of the Crooked River will hold its annual River Rat Revelry on Thursday April 9, 6:30 – 9:00 PM, at Lion’s Lodge, 641 Silver Lake Ave., Cuyahoga Falls.

The 2015 Community Expo at the Natatorium!

The 2015 Community Expo will be held at the Natatorium on Saturday, March 28th, from 9 AM - 3 PM. Admission and Parking are free.

There will be over 70 businesses, community organizations and clubs on display. 

Family Fun, face painting, clowns, door prizes, FREE child ID kits, and more!

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Announces the 2015 Keep Cuyahoga Falls Beautiful & Litter-free Program

In partnership with local businesses, schools and community organizations, the City of Cuyahoga Falls announces the 2015 “Keep Cuyahoga Beautiful & Litter-free!” initiative.  Litter cleanup projects and litter prevention educational activities will be ongoing throughout the year.

To kick off the 2015 program, the Cuyahoga Falls Target Store and the Cuyahoga Falls Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention are planning a cleanup project along Howe Road on Friday, March 27th.   Approximately 20 Target employees will be cleaning up litter and debris along this highly traveled area of the community as part of their commitment to keeping Cuyahoga Falls beautiful.

MAYOR SEEKS QUALIFIED RESIDENTS TO APPOINT TO THE CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION

Mayor Don Walters is seeking seven (7) qualified electors of the municipality for the 2015 Charter Review Commission.  The members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council.
