Notice is hereby given that the Cuyahoga Falls Civil Service Commission
will administer an examination for the following position:



DATE, TIME, & PLACE OF EXAMINATION: Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Cuyahoga Falls High School Cafeteria, 2300 Fourth Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH  44221.  (Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m.).  A valid driver’s license or State issued ID must be presented for identification purposes on the evening of the examination.  

Part-Time Guest Relations Assistant (Natatorium)

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Parks & Recreation Department is looking for dependable, flexible and hard working individuals to assist with the operations of The Natatorium. Main duties include: serving as a liasion between the customer and multiple departments; being knowledgeable with all programs and services offered with the deparment; answering phones, filing, and registering patrons for programs and memberships; assisting with the upkeep of the facility; and enforcing guidelines. 

Summer Seasonal Workers

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is seeking seasonal labor to work in various departments. Basic duties include general landscaping and maintenance of City buildings, property and grounds. Some may be assigned to special street-maintenance or weed-whip crews. Several are needed who can work from a ladder. General custodial and routine maintenance work is required of all. Successful candidates must demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors and the public.

Depending on department assignment, qualifications and previous work experience, rate of pay ranges from $7.95/hour to $9.50/hour. Most positions require a valid driver's license. Some positions require a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and/or CPR or First-Aid Training. 

Qualified applicants must be able to work independently, lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods of time, follow all safety procedures and have the ability to perform physical activity in all types of weather.

Preference is given to those who have previously worked for the City; students (age 18 or older) are especially encouraged to apply!

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is currently accepting applications for lifeguards, water safety instructors, and water fitness instructors at the Natatorium in Cuyahoga Falls.  American Red Cross certification is required for lifeguards.
