Cuyahoga Falls Extends Citywide Parking Ban

Mayor Don L. Robart, would like to alert residents and motorists that the citywide parking ban has been extended through 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2007. The parking ban is needed to assist our street crews in clearing off roadways. Cars parked on city streets will be ticketed and are subject to towing.

Chart Road Phase I Improvements Scheduled To Begin

Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service, would like to alert residents and motorists to the improvements to Chart Road between State Road and Keyser Parkway beginning February 5, 2007. Work will begin with the relocation of several utilities, including gas lines, waterlines, and utility poles. During this work two-way traffic will be maintained. Beginning about the middle of March 2007, the roadway will be reduced to one-way traffic for eastbound motorists only. Westbound traffic will need to use the posted detour of State Road, Steels Corners Road, and Northampton Road.

Ice Rink gets Icier!

Mayor Don L. Robart is pleased to announce a very special event this winter season. The City of Cuyahoga Falls has teamed up with the Ice Carving Team of the Hospitality Club at the University of Akron to create an Ice Exhibition at the Ice Rink in downtown Cuyahoga Falls.

Cuyahoga Falls Electric System Announces Annual Scholarship Program

Application information for the annual American Municipal Power - Ohio (AMP-Ohio) Scholarship Program is now available through local High School Guidance offices. Applicants must be high school seniors who will graduate in the spring and have met all the basic requirements for college or technical school, and have a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

City Ends 2006 Leaf Pick-up Program

The 2006 Leaf Pick-up Program has ended for the year. Final citywide leaf pick-up was completed between November 20th & December 1st. All leaves including those remaining in residential yards and leaves currently on devil strips/tree lawns will only be taken if bagged in an acceptable yard waste bag and placed curbside with regular trash pick-up.

Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Welcomes Winter With Opening of Ice Rink

Mayor Robart officially kicks off the winter season with the 3rd Annual Grand Opening of the Ice Rink at Falls River Square Saturday, November 25th at 12:00 noon. "The past two seasons of the ice rink drew huge crowds", commented Mayor Robart. "This year will be exceptional, with new programs, great music, food and fun for the entire family all season long."
