CFES Announces 2008 AMP-Ohio Scholarship Program

Application information for the 2008 American Municipal Power - Ohio (AMP-Ohio) Scholarship Program is now available through local High School Guidance offices. Applicants must be high school seniors who will graduate in the spring and have met all the basic requirements for college or technical school, and have a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The amount of these one-time scholarship awards is $2,000.


City's First Multi-Purpose Trail Complete

Mayor Don L. Robart is pleased to announce the opening of the City's first multi-purpose trail on Wyoga Lake Road. "The Wyoga Lake road Bike and Hike trail is a fabulous new asset to the busy Steels Corners / Wyoga Lake Road area", commented the Mayor.


Christmas and New Year's Holiday To Affect Sanitation Services

The City of Cuyahoga Falls announces the Christmas and New Year's Holiday will affect sanitation services.



The week beginning December 24th, sanitation customers who receive service Tuesday through Friday will be delayed by one day. Monday sanitation customers are not affected.



The week beginning December 31st, sanitation customers who receive service Tuesday through Friday will be delayed by one day. Monday sanitation customers are not affected.


City of Cuyahoga Falls Announces Holiday Clean-up Program Dates

The City of Cuyahoga Falls announces that the 2007 Holiday Clean-up Program is scheduled for ALL sanitation customers beginning Wednesday, December 26, 2007 through Monday, December 31, 2007.



Extra bags of trash and bulk items will be picked up curbside free of charge on your regular pick-up day. Please have everything curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your regular collection day. Please, no "Party Paks" during the clean-up period.

Local Entrepreneur Kindles Season of Giving

Mayor declares December 10th "John Schmitt Day" in Cuyahoga Falls.Prompting an early start to the season of giving, hundreds of area patients received the gift of life from blood donations collected during a recent Red Cross blood drive at the Natatorium. For their efforts, 148 presenting donors received a coupon for a free, six-inch SUBWAY® sandwich.

CYCLEOPS POWER TRAINING AND WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC BEGINS JANUARY 9 AT NATATORIUM!

City Leaf Pickup Program EXTENDED Through Dec. 3rd

Mayor Don L. Robart has announced the extension of the Leaf Pickup program to December 3rd due the large amount of trees in the city that have not dropped their leaves. Please note that the regular leaf program schedule is still in effect through November 30th and will still need to be followed.


Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Mayor Don Robart officially kicks off the winter season with the 4th Annual Opening Celebration of the Ice Rink at Falls River Square on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 12 noon until 9:00 pm.



"This year is bigger and better than ever!" commented Mayor Robart "From free train rides outside on the FRS Express to complimentary pictures with Santa in the Pavilion, opening day promises to be one spectacular event!"
