City of Cuyahoga Falls Recognized for Safety Excellence

By cutting its workers' compensation claims by over 50 percent over the past six years, the City of Cuyahoga Falls has proven it is serious about the safety of its employees. This dedicated approach to workplace safety demonstrates prudent use of tax dollars and has earned the city one of the highest honors among businesses in the state. The City of Cuyahoga Falls is being recognized today as one of six Ohio employers to receive the Governor's Excellence in Workers' Compensation Award for 2007.


City & SUBWAY® Respond to Red Cross Blood Emergency

The City of Cuyahoga Falls and the Natatorium SUBWAY® announce a very special partnership to address the critical shortage of blood in northeast Ohio. On Thursday, October 4th, the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium will host a Red Cross blood mobile. An open blood drive for the general public will run from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm that day. All presenting blood donors will receive a coupon for a free 6-inch regular sub, good at the Natatorium SUBWAY® for a limited time.

Fall Clean Up

City Selects New Gas Supplier and Locks in New Rate

For up to date information please click hereBeginning November 1, 2007 the City will begin a new contract for the natural gas aggregation program with Direct Energy, offering a one-year fixed rate of $9.854/MCF. The City is also excited to announce there is a Senior Citizen Discount! By calling Direct Energy during the enrollment period, seniors 65-years-of-age or older will receive an additional $0.10/MCF off and pay $9.754/MCF.

Late Payment Penalty Coming For Utilities

Recently the City of Cuyahoga Falls' City Council passed legislation updating our utility billing collection standards. In an effort to keep customer accounts on track, a 10% late payment penalty will go into effect September 1, 2007, in the event the bill is not paid by the due date or not paid in full. Therefore, we strongly encourage that you get all outstanding balances up to date prior to September 1st. Any outstanding balance will receive the 10% penalty for that cycle and if it remains unpaid, the penalty will occur each month.


Mayor's July First Tuesday will be held on Monday July 2, 2007

Due to the impending July 4th holiday schedule, the Mayor's office will be moving the July First Tuesday to Monday July 2, 2007 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. For an appointment, call (330) 971-8200.

FIT KID EXPERIENCE OPENS AT NATATORIUM!

NATATORIUM INTRODUCES THE FIT KID EXPERIENCEA dedication ceremony for the much-anticipated Fit Kid Experience, the new youth fitness program at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium Health and Fitness Center, took place on Tuesday, June 19th at 9:00am. The Natatorium is proud to stay on the cutting edge of health and fitness programming and the Fit Kid Experience is the latest endeavor in continuing to meet the growing fitness needs of our community.
