DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Police Department is participating in the DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event is on Saturday September 25 from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Citizens may bring in unused and old prescriptions to have them disposed of properly. The drop off will be at our north garage Natatorium side of the city building.

Open House of Neighborhood Stabilization Program Home

In May 2009 the City of Cuyahoga Falls was awarded a Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Grant from the Ohio Department of Development in the amount of $783,204 to purchase several vacant, foreclosed homes in the community.

This is the second of six homes to be upgraded and sold to qualified owner occupants.  This Colonial home, located at 1631 11th Street, consists of 3 bedrooms, a newly renovated kitchen and bath, dining room, living room, third floor storage, two-car garage and new driveway.

2010 Fall Cleanup Program

Fall Clean-up for ALL City of Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation customers is underway and continues through September 17. Please place all Fall Clean-Up refuse at the curb on your regular pickup day by 7 a.m. for collection, along with your regular refuse and recyclables. There will be no additional charges for extra trash on your regular pickup day during Fall Clean-up.

Kid's Castle Babysitting Information

Kid's Castle Temporary Home. Due to the maintenance issue in the Kid's Castle , we have created a temporary space as an option for parents. This temporary space will not have all the amenities of the Kid's Castle. It is your choice if you want to use this space or not.

2010 Public Lands Day River Cleanup Project

On Public Lands Day, Saturday, September 25th, the City of Cuyahoga Falls will be partnering with several communities in the Middle Cuyahoga Watershed in coordinating the second annual Public Lands Day Cuyahoga River Cleanup Project. Volunteers with canoes and kayaks, as well as volunteers on land to help pull litter and debris from the Cuyahoga River are needed.

Cuyahoga Falls Electric System Sponsors 2010 Public Power Pride Week Celebration

Tuesday, October 5th, the Cuyahoga Falls Electric System is partnering with the Cuyahoga Falls Library to host the 2010 Public Power Pride Week energy efficiency program. The event will be held at the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third Street.

The Open House & Energy Fair from 10 AM until 5 PM will feature displays and information on a variety of environmental and electrical services, as well as feature energy projects developed by local 5th grade science students.

Cuyahoga Falls Receive Grant Award

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor, Don L. Robart announced today that the City has been awarded a $155,250 grant to conduct environmental assessments at the buildings located at 1110-1130 Portage Trail.

This property has been vacant and an eyesore for too long, commented Mayor Robart. The utilization of state funds will make a redevelopment effort possible.

Sanitation Service Delayed One Day During Labor Day Holiday

Service Director Valerie Wax Carr announces that Collection crews will not be working Monday, September 6, 2010 due to the Labor Day holiday. All customers? collections will be delayed one day. Refuse and recycle crews will work Tuesday through Saturday. If you have any questions, you may contact the Sanitation Department directly at (330) 971-8010.
