Cuyahoga Falls Mayor, Don L. Robart announces the deployment of a high-tech device, re-built and upgraded in Cuyahoga Falls by Ultra Tech Machinery, to U.S. Troops in Southwest Asia.


Falls River Square Rocks the Fourth!

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart, announces a spectacular Fourth of July Celebration taking place in the Downtown Falls River Square District, beginning July 2nd. The holiday weekend is jam-packed with music, live theater, food, fun and splashing about in the interactive water fountain. "It was our goal to provide something for everyone's taste over the long weekend," commented Mayor Robart.

Sealed proposals will be received in the office of the Director of Public Service, Municipal Building, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, until 12:00 noon, TUESDAY, JUNE 17, 2007, with bids being opened in Conference Room Second Floor, Municipal Building, 2310 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, for the High Bridge Glens Park. This project is the redevelopment of a two acre parcel of downtown Cuyahoga Falls, creating a park on south Front Street with a floral clock, prefabricated gazebo, prefabricated bridge, walks, a boardwalk with overlook, lighting and site furniture.

City To Accept Beautification Nominations

Mayor Don L. Robart has announced that the City of Cuyahoga Falls will be accepting nominations from citizens for the City Beautification Awards Program. Anyone interested in nominating a residence or business located within the City should do so by August 1, 2008.



Nominees will be judged on the attractiveness of their landscaping with particular regard to their use of flowers, ornamental trees and shrubbery. The Cuyahoga Falls Tree Board will choose the winners and awards will be distributed by Mayor Don L. Robart in September.


Sanitation Service Delayed During Memorial Holiday

Service Director Valerie Wax Carr announces that Collection crews will not be working Monday, May 26, 2008 due to the Memorial Day holiday. All customerscollections will be delayed one day. Refuse and recycle crews will work Tuesday through Saturday. If you have any questions, you may contact the Sanitation Department directly at (330) 971-8010.

Fire Chief Swearing-In Ceremony

Mayor Don L. Robart announced that Assistant Fire Chief Paul Moledor has been selected to become the next Chief of the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department. Paul Moledor is a twenty-five year veteran of the Fire Department having served in the capacities Fire Fighter, Lieutenant, and Assistant Chief. Moledor and his wife of 20 years, Sallie, live in Cuyahoga Falls. His is the father of three children: Andy, Danny and McKenna.


Ribbons of Honor Display at Oakwood Cemetery

Mayor Don L. Robart is proud to announce the upcoming Ribbons of Honor Display remembering the fallen heroes of the Iraqi War. This unique ribbon display will be showcased along the wrought iron fence of Oakwood Cemetery on Oakwood Drive beginning Saturday, May 17, 2008. The gold ribbons represent the more than 4,000 service people who have lost their lives during this time of war. Mayor Robart stated, "Citizen, project coordinator and volunteer, Terry Anaszewsicz, has worked diligently to bring this project to life.

Get Your Water Works Membership Today!

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio - Water Works Family Aquatic Center memberships are available now at the Natatorium through June 6th. The facility will open on May 24, 2008 for Memorial Day Weekend. It will then close and reopen June 6, 2008 to Aug 24, 2008. The facility, located at 2025 Munroe Falls Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls, includes slides, lazy river, sand play area, geysers, sprays, splash party packages, concessions and much more. Members may enter the facility at 10:30am, a half hour prior to other daily customers.
