City Seeks Requests for Proposals for Fair Housing Services

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is soliciting proposals from qualified service providers to administer Fair Housing Services for the City.  All providers must submit proposals responding to the "Scope of Work" section of the RFP.  Proposals will be accepted until 4:00 PM on February 21, 2014.  The RFP can be viewed on the City's website at www.cityofcf.com, Development, CDBG Program, "RFP for Fair Housing Services".

Mayor's First Tuesday Program Continues

Mayor Don Walters would like to continue the First Tuesday Program which began nineteen years ago where citizens may meet with the Mayor one-on-one to present any concerns or ideas for making Cuyahoga Falls a better place to live. Cuyahoga Fals Electric System Extends Deadline for American Municipal Power Scholarship Applications

The deadline for application to the Cuyahoga Falls Electric System (CFES) for nomination consideration in the 2014 American Municipal Power (AMP) Scholarship Program has been extended until 5:00 PM, Wednesday, February 5th, 2014.

The Cuyahoga Falls Electric System Receives Grant For Feeder Automation Project

The Cuyahoga Falls Electric System was awarded a research grant by the American Public Power Association’s Demonstration of Energy & Efficiency Developments (DEED) program. 
 

Cuyahoga Falls Youth Amateur Baseball Sign-ups Upcoming

The Cuyahoga Falls Youth Baseball Association will conduct baseball sign-ups for youths 5-18 years of age Saturdays, February 1st, February 8th and March 1st from 10a-1p at the Quirk Cultural Center at 1201 Grant Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221.  Birth certificates, persmission slip and sign-up fee of $45-$55 (depending on age level) due on day of sign-up.  Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Personal Check and cash are all acceptable items for payment.  For additional questions, call Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation at 330-971-8225 or the Quirk Cultural Center at 330-971-8425.

No Delay in Sanitation Service Over the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

Tthere will be no delay in Sanitation Service over the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday which is observed on Monday, January 20, 2014.  All Cuyahoga Falls customers should follow their normal sanitation schedule.

Mayor Seeks Two New Board of Zoning Appeals Members

Mayor Don Walters is seeking two new Board of Zoning Appeals Members to replace two vacant seats on the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Zoning Appeals.

The Cuyahoga Falls Board of Zoning Appeals has the powers and jurisdiction provided by the City Charter, to grant variances to the zoning regulations and standardand  to hear and decide appeals of any administrative interpretation of zoning regulations and to hear and decide appeals of any administrative decision associated with the zoning regulations.

Mayor Don Walters is seeking a new Civil Service Commission member to replace a vacant seat on the Cuyahoga Falls Civil Service Commission.
