2009 Spring Clean-up Program

The Spring Clean-up Program for ALL City of Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation customers begins May 4 and continues through May 15.



Please place all Spring Clean-Up refuse at the curb on your regular pickup day by 7 am for collection, along with your regular refuse and recyclables for these two weeks. There will be no additional charges for extra trash on your regular pickup day these 2 weeks.


City to Celebrate 22nd Arbor Day at the Future Site of High Bridge Glens Park

Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service announces that the City of Cuyahoga Falls is eagerly planning the annual Arbor Day Program, which will take place Friday, April 24 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the new High Bridge Glens Park site located on Front Street next to the Sheraton Hotel. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.



Each year, the City plants a tree to honor a facet of Cuyahoga Falls that has made a significant impact on our community. This year, a Heritage River Birch tree will be planted in honor of the "Year of the River".

Festa Italiana Comes To Cuyahoga Falls

Mayor Don L. Robart is pleased to welcome Festa Italiana, a brand new 3-day festival to the Falls River Square District this summer.



Festa Italiana of Cuyahoga Falls (FIOCF) will take place the weekend of July 24-26, 2009 in the downtown riverfront district. "I am thrilled to bring a new family event to our downtown," commented Mayor Robart. "I commend the hard work of this committee and we look forward to a fabulous new festival."


Mayor Robart's 2008 State of the City airs on Time Warner Cable

Mayor Don L. Robart delivered the 2008 State of the City address on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Sheraton Suites during the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting. The Mayor's annual speech was recorded live and is now available on Time Warner Cable free on Demand channel 501. This is in the Government category in Specials with the title "Mayor Don L. Robart". All Time Warner customers with digital cable will be able to access the program any time of the day.


Cuyahoga Falls Issues Parking Ban

Mayor Don L. Robart, would like to alert residents and motorists to a citywide parking ban in effective immediately until 6 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. The parking ban is needed to assist our street crews in clearing off roadways. Cars parked on city streets will be ticketed and are subject to towing.

Cuyahoga Falls Locks in Lower Gas Rate

The City natural gas aggregation program with Direct Energy has locked a one-year fixed rate of $8.996/MCF; senior rate of $8.896/MCF, effective May 2009 through April 2010.



Residents who are already participating in the aggregation program at $10.463/MCF; senior rate $10.363/MCF will automatically roll over to the new price. New enrollments will be accepted, however not until March 2009. Watch the Falls News Press and City website for enrollment information in the next few weeks.
