The Ice Rink at Falls River Square Opens This Weekend!

Mayor Don L. Robart proudly announces the 7th Annual Ice Rink Opening Celebration on Saturday, November 26, 2011. "Attendance grows each year as the rink increases in popularity", commented Mayor Robart. "We are delighted to continue this fabulous tradition for our residents". The Ice Rink at Falls River Square is recognized throughout the region as a family-friendly destination location and this year is certainly no exception.

Public Hearing - CDBG Substantial Plan Amendment

City Council will be conducting a public hearing on Monday, December 5th at 6:30 PM, on the proposed amendment to the 2011-2012 Annual Action Plan and adopt a resolution amending the 2011-2012 Annual Action Plan to reallocate infrastructure funding from the Germaine Street Activity to the Portage Crossing Infrastructure Activity with job creation as a national objective and authorizing the Mayor to submit the amendment.

Taste of Cuyahoga Falls Cancelled

The Taste of Cuyahoga Falls Event, scheduled for October 22, 2011 at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled for 2011.  Event organizers and participants apologize for the inconvenience.

The Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Committee is Gathering Recipes for a Bicentennial Cookbook

Bicentennial Chairman, Rollie Seguin is pleased to announce The Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Committee is preparing a community cookbook titled “Tasteful Traditions, A Collection of 200 Recipes and Memories”.  This beautiful, padded, 3-ring custom cookbook will feature a collection of 200 recipes divided into 8 recipe categories-from appetizers to desserts and everything in between.  Each recipe will be labeled with the contributor’s name, making it easy to find the recipes of family, friends and various community representatives. It will also include photos, past and present, showcasing our incredible City. All the proceeds will benefit the 2012 Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial Celebration.

2011 Public Power Pride Week Energy EXPO

Tuesday, October 4th, the Cuyahoga Falls Electric System (CFES) is partnering with the Cuyahoga Falls Library for the 2011 Public Power Pride Week Energy EXPO. Hosted by the Cuyahoga Falls Library located at 2015 Third Street From 9 AM – 9 PM, the CFES program will feature informational displays and demonstrations on cost-saving energy conservation ideas, services and products.  Click for flyer.

Mayor's First Tuesday Moves to Wednesday October 5th

The Mayor's Office would like to remind all citizens that the First Tuesday Program, where citizens may meet with the Mayor one-on-one to present any concerns or ideas for making the city a better place to live, will continue on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  The date has moved to the following next day due to a scheduling conflict.

Donors to Receive Special Gift at Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium on October 6th

The American Red Cross is hosting a community blood drive from 11 am to 7 pm on October 6 at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium, 2345 Fourth Street.

Trick or Treat in Cuyahoga Falls

Mayor Don L. Robart has announced trick-or-treat hours for the City of Cuyahoga Falls.  Trick or Treat will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Trick-or-treat will follow the annual Community Halloween Spooktacular at Falls River Square being held the same day from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
