Akron Zoo Cuyahoga Falls Community Days!

During Community Days at the Akron Zoo, residents of Cuyahoga Falls  can enjoy 4 free admissions per household to the Akron Zoo on August 8 and 9. Tickets are available July 1st in the Cuyahoga Falls Utility Billing Office and the Zoo. Must show residency documentation.   

Summit Akron Solid Waste Management Authority is holding two Community Forums-The first is tonight at 6:30 pm

The Summit Akron Solid Waste Management Authority is holding a Community Forum to discuss strategies to significantly increase the volume of materials that are recycled/reused/processed, to reduce waste disposal costs, and to develop new industries and jobs.

Mayor Don L. Robart and the Bicentennial Executive Committee announce the availability to purchase a new Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial T-shirt to wear proudly to help support and promote the City's 200th Birthday in 2012. 

Boil Alert Issued Due to Value Replacement

Service Director, Valerie Wax Carr announces on Thursday, June 16, 2011, following a valve replacement, the water dropped below pressure. Therefore, as a safeguard in accordance to EPA regulations, a BOIL ALERT has been issued for Meadow Lane from Lynn Drive to Lynn Drive and for Underwood Avenue from Taylor Avenue to Lynn Drive until Saturday at 4:00 p.m.. To ensure safety, please boil your water for a minimum of two minutes. For additional information, you may contact the Water Department at 330-971-8130.

Water Works Family Aquatic Center and all city wading pools will be closed the balance of today due to the cool air temperature.

City to Accept Beautification Nominations

Mayor Don L. Robart has announced that the City of Cuyahoga Falls will be accepting nominations from citizens for the City’s Beautification Awards Program. Anyone interested in nominating a residence or business located within the City should do so by August 5, 2011.

Nominees will be judged on the attractiveness of their landscaping with particular regard to their use of flowers, ornamental trees and shrubbery.
