Cuyahoga Falls Announces Contests for Boy Scouts 100th Anniversary

Mayor Don L. Robart would like to announce the partnership between the City of Cuyahoga Falls and our local Boy Scout and Cub Scout Troops to help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts.  We will be dedicating our annual Arbor Day Ceremony to this special occasion on April 30, 2010.  In addition, we are sponsoring three different themed contests, and will recognize the winners at our annual Arbor Day Ceremony.   The contest are listed as follows:

Charter Review Commission announces its schedule of meetings

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Charter Review Commission announces its schedule of meetings. The meetings are open to the public and any person interested in proposing an amendment to the Charter is encouraged to do so.

Meetings are scheduled on March 25, April 8, April 22, May 6, May 20, June 3 and June 24.

Meetings will begin at 6 p.m. in Conference Room A, Second Floor, City Hall, 2310 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.

All proposed amendments to the Charter must be submitted in writing to the Law Department, 2310 Second Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.

Arbor Day Foundation Names Cuyahoga Falls A Tree City USA Community

Cuyahoga Falls, OH, was recognized by the nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA community for its commitment to urban forestry. It is the twenty-third year Cuyahoga Falls has earned this national designation.

The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service. 

2010 Keep Cuyahoga Falls Beautiful & Litterfree Program

In recognition of 2010 as the 40th anniversary celebration year of Earth Day, the City of Cuyahoga Falls will be sponsoring a citywide community improvement project.  Cuyahoga Falls businesses, organizations and citizens are invited to participate in the 2010 Keep Cuyahoga Falls Beautiful & Litterfree program by registering for a community litter cleanup project.

Cuyahoga Falls Issues Citywide Parking Ban

Mayor Don L. Robart, would like to alert residents and motorists to a citywide parking ban in effect starting at 12:00 PM, Tuesday February 16, 2010 until 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2010.  The parking ban is needed to assist our street crews in clearing off roadways.  Cars parked on city streets will be ticketed and are subject to towing.

Safety Town 2010

The City of Cuyahoga Falls will be offering Safety Town 2010 to incoming kindergarten students residing in Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake.
