PRESS RELEASE -- Pediactrics of Akron Opens New Office on Portage Trail

On Wednesday, February 27, 2013, Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart announced the opening of a new doctor’s office on Portage Trail during his annual State of the City Address.

The attractive state-of-the-art building located at 1100 Portage Trail is the new home of the Cuyahoga Falls office location of Pediatrics of Akron, a comprehensive primary care office, serving patients from birth through college. Pediatrics of Akron continues to have its Akron office located at 300 Locust Street, Suite 200, within the Locust Professional Building.

Mayor Seeks New Park Board Member

Mayor Don L. Robart is seeking a new park board member to replace a vacant seat on the Cuyahoga Falls Park Board.

The Cuyahoga Falls Park Board is the overseeing body of the Parks and Recreation Department. The five member board meets monthly on the second Thursdays of each month at 5:30p in the Natatorium Community Wing. Potential members' schedule should permit them to attend meetings at that time.

Second Public Outreach Session for Dam Removal Project

On December 12, 2012, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued a nationwide permit, which will allow for the removal of the two low head dams located in Cuyahoga Falls.

Cuyahoga Falls is excited to have this long awaited project begin to move forward. The city and its project team, RiverWorks, and the Ohio EPA are finalizing demolition plans. Demolition will begin early summer of 2013, dependent upon weather conditions and water levels.

Technicote’s Roots Remain Strong in Cuyahoga Falls

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart is pleased to announce the renovation and expansion of a local manufacturer, Technicote, located on Marc Drive.  After a devastating fire in December 2011, the owners of Technicote were faced with a difficult decision – rebuild or find another site. 

PRESS RELEASE - No Forms Required When Filing City Taxes Online

Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart announces an enhancement to the Online Income Tax Preparer service available on the City’s website. Residents filing their City income tax online and owe no taxes and have no overpayment, will not have to mail their returns or documentation.

Cuyahoga Falls Issues Citywide Parking Ban

In anticipation of the winter storm, Mayor Don L. Robart  would like to alert residents and motorists to a citywide parking ban in effect starting at 12:00 noon today, December 26, 2012 until 6:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012. The parking ban is needed to assist our street crews in clearing off roadways. Cars parked on city streets will be ticketed and are subject to towing.

PRESS RELEASE - Sanitation Service Delayed One Day Over Christmas & New Year's Holiday

Service Director Valerie Wax Carr announces that Tuesday through Friday sanitation customers will be delayed one day for both the Christmas (week of December 24th) and New Year's Day (week of December 31st) holidays.
