Cuyahoga Falls Brings Back Senior Snow Removal Program

Mayor Don Walters is proud to announce the 2014 - 2015 Senior Snow Removal Program. This is a complimentary program for any full-time resident age 65 or older who income qualifies and has no able-bodied person residing in the home.  Applications and eligibility information are available in the Development Department or at  Funds are limited and applications are due November 14, 2014 before 4:00 p.m.

Northampton Road Closure

Eric M. Czetli, Director of Public Service, would like to alert residents and motorists to the closure of Northampton Road, from Portage Trail West Extension to North Ridge Drive, Akron (top of snake hill) on Monday, October 6 through Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.  The closure is due to a road resurfacing project and ditch work. 

Concert at Keyser Barn 9/28 Cancelled

The Keyser Barn Concert that was to take place on Sunday, September 28, 2014 has been cancelled.  The concert will not be rescheduled; this cancellation concludes the 2014 Keyser Barn Concert Series.  Look to the 2015 Series to be underway June 2015.  A schedule will be posted at that time.

Cuyahoga Falls Electric System & Community Development Department Sponsor 2014 Public Power Pride Week Energy EXPO

The Cuyahoga Falls Electric System and the Cuyahoga Falls Community Development Department are partnering with Neighborhood Development Services (NDS), Western Reserve Hospital and the Cuyahoga Falls Library to host the 2014 Public Power Pride Week Energy EXPO.

The 2014 Energy EXPO will be held on Thursday, October 9th from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third Street.

$5 Swim Lessons Available At the Natatorium!

City Implements a First-Time Homeowner Welcome Program for Qualified Home Buyers

Mayor Don Walters announces the launch of the First-Time Homeowner Welcome Program.  The premise behind the program is to provide incentives to prospective home buyers to purchase a home in Cuyahoga Falls.  When new residents sign up for City utilities, they will receive a welcome packet containing important City-related information.  The packet for a new resident qualifying under this program will include significant, cost-saving incentive offers from the City and participating local businesses.

Dominion East Ohio Gasline Replacement

Eric M. Czetli, Director of Public Service, would like to alert residents and motorists that Dominion East Ohio (DEO) is replacing main gas lines within the City of Cuyahoga Falls.  DEO is currently working on State Road between Valley Road and North Haven Boulevard.

Cuyahoga Falls Locks in a Natural Gas Rate

Cuyahoga Falls has locked in a rate with IGS Energy, the City’s Natural Gas Aggregation Provider, for the November 2014 billing period through the March 2015 billing period.  A fixed rate of $4.46 per MCF for 5 months has been locked in for those residents currently enrolled with the City’s aggregation program.
