Dam Removal - First Cut To Be Made

Following equipment barge placement and testing, it is anticipated the first cut into the Sheraton Dam will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, around mid-day.  For more details and the latest update, please refer to www.cityofcf.com and click on Dam Restoration Project in the left rotating box. Live streaming of the demolition, from our "Dam Cam" will be available via the website as well.

High Intensity Basketball Clinic Coming to the Natatorium

A high intensity basketball skills clinic will be hosted at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium from July 8, 2013 - July 11, 2013 from 9a to 12p.  The basketball camp is designed for boys and girls, grade level 4-8 who wish to take their skill set to the next level.

The Fruits and Veggies are In - Farmers' Market in the Falls!

The fruits and veggies are in! The Farmers' Market will be open this Friday from 2p - 5:30p at Quirk Cultural Center (1201 Grant Avenue). The market takes place Friday's through October and features loads of fresh vegetables, fruits, natural products and various sundries. Come on out and bring your friends and get some fresh air and fresh food! Friday is supposed to be B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

Keyser Barn Concert Series - NEW!

Mayor Don L. Robart invites you to come celebrate summer at the setting of the beautifully restored exterior of Keyser Park Barn.  The new concert series runs (weather permitting) the 1st and 3rd Sundays this summer, and are sure to be a crowd-pleasers.

Dam Removal To Begin

The construction zone for the removal of the two low-head dams commonly referred to as the Sheraton Mill Dam and the LeFever Powerhouse Dam is anticipated to begin the week of June 17, 2013.  Demolition is dependent upon weather conditions and water levels.  The Sheraton Mill Dam will be demolished first, with the LeFever Powerhouse Dam scheduled for demolition in July 2013.
