Mayor Seeks New Civil Service Commission Member

Mayor Don Walters is seeking a new Civil Service Commission member to replace a vacant seat on the Cuyahoga Falls Civil Service Commission.

The Cuyahoga Falls Civil Service Commission is responsible for creating and monitoring rules and policies for the City’s civil service commission, developing new job classifications and duty statements, and abolishing obsolete ones, and update existing classifications, testing and certifying individuals in classified service and managing and maintaining civil service records. The three member board meets every other month on the second Wednesday at 5:00 PM in the Natatorium Community Wing, and as necessary. Potential members' schedule should permit them to attend meetings at that time.

Interested applicants who seek to serve their community and have a general interest in Civil Service should submit their resume and letter of intent to Mayor Don Walters by email at or U.S. mail to 2310 Second St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 Attn: Civil Service Commission Applicant.  Deadline to apply is January 31, 2014.
