October is Breast Cancer Month- and Celtic Club Fights Breast Cancer (Bras Across the Crooked River), an event to help raise breast cancer awareness, is coming to Cuyahoga Falls on Friday, October 18th. The Celtic Club will put up a huge 715 foot long bra display on the Portage Trail bridge in Cuyahoga Falls. It will span the Cuyahoga River and Rt. 8 highway. It will go up @8:30am and remain up all day until @6pm. The display is one of eight by the Celtic Club to help raise breast cancer awareness in N.E. Ohio. The bras will later be given to battered women's shelters. Included in the display will be an 18 foot pink bra created by artist Amy Mothersbaugh, owner of Studio 2091 in the Cuyahoga Falls Front Street Mall.
