In addition to the removal of two dams in downtown Cuyahoga Falls, a new construction project has been underway at the former LeFever’s Restaurant on Riverfront Parkway.
Under new ownership, the Powerhouse at Water’s Edge is now home to Burntwood Tavern, opening September 16. This marks the fifth Burntwood Tavern location in northeast Ohio, with the first restaurant opening in September 2010 in Chagrin Falls.
“We’re thrilled about the location and the opportunity to integrate the Burntwood family into the Cuyahoga Falls community,” stated Ian Hopkins, Regional Managing Partner. “We’re grateful for the city’s enthusiasm and look forward to delivering great dining experiences that create lifetime guests.”
Mayor Don Robart said he is elated that Burntwood decided to locate here. “Development Director, Susan Truby, chased these entrepreneurs until she caught them and brought this great location to their attention,” stated Mayor Robart. “I believe they will find this location to be very attractive and active.”
Burntwood Tavern is a chef-driven, guest-focused restaurant that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with a copper top bar, barnwood beams, handcrafted glass light fixtures and an indoor fireplace. The menu is straightforward with steaks, sliders, hand-cut fries, smoked, planked, and wood-grilled food.
The grand opening is September 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch and dinner will be served Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Burntwood Tavern is located at 2291 Riverfront Parkway, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
