Cuyahoga River Cleanup

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is partnering with a number of local communities and organizations on a 2013 National Public Lands Day Cuyahoga River Cleanup project.
Volunteers are being recruited to assist with Cuyahoga River cleanup from two main locations; one at River Front Park (Front Street), and the second at Water Works Park (2025 Munroe Falls Avenue).
Volunteers assisting with litter cleanup along the banks of the Cuyahoga River from River Front Park will meet on September 28, 2013 at 9:00 AM at the River Front Park parking lot (near the Doodlebug Memorial), and will work until about 12:00 Noon.
Volunteers assisting with litter cleanup along the banks of the Cuyahoga River in and near Water Works Park, and with unloading litter and debris from kayaks and canoes at the Water Works Park boat dock, will meet at the Shady Bend Shelter at 10:00 AM. Kayak and canoe navigators collecting litter and debris in the river are expected to arrive to the Water Works Park boat dock before Noon.
Work gloves and litter grabbers will be provided for volunteers to use. Lunch will also be provided for volunteers.
