Kids Bicentennial Birthday Bash Brings Family Fun to the Natatorium

Mayor Don L. Robart and the Bicentennial Committee are proud to announce a Family Movie Night at the Natatorium marking the City’s 2nd event in 2012 commemorating our 200th Birthday!
The Kids Bicentennial Birthday Bash will take place on Sunday February 19, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a DJ spinning some cool tunes! There will be dancing, contests and prizes and a photo opportunity with our very own costume character, Scrappy the Raccoon. We will conclude the night by showing the 2010 movie, Furry Vengeance in its entirety in the Conference and Banquet Center.

The Mayor remarked, “This family friendly event is a great opportunity this long President’s Day weekend to bring fun, wholesome family entertainment to the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium. We anticipate 100 kids to attend to be a part of such a special night.”

Each child will go home with a goody bag filled with toys and treats. Our very own Vincent’s Bakery at 2038 E. Bailey Road will be providing one of their famous, delicious iced sugar cookies to take home and enjoy! A big thank you goes to the staff at Vincent’s Bakery in addition to Family Video at 1250 Northmoreland Boulevard, the Cuyahoga Falls High School Stage Crew and Midway Bowling Lanes for helping sponsor this event.

Tickets are required for admission and are only available by participating in a special drawing. To be eligible for the drawing, you must either be a Natatorium annual member or a Cuyahoga Falls resident. You may enter to win at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth Street; or the Utility Billing Department, 2310 Second Street. The ticket entry period will begin January 31 and end February 10 at 5:00 p.m. Only the Natatorium has weekend hours. All entries will be verified for residency or membership status. FIFTY LUCKY FAMILIES will win a packet of 4 tickets. The winning families will be notified by a special phone call or e-mail from Mayor Robart on Monday, February 13. Winners will pick up their tickets from the Mayor’s office and must have proper identification.

Our 200th Anniversary Celebration would not be possible without the generous support of our local sponsors including Summa Western Reserve Hospital Partners, GOJO Industries, Schwebel’s, Valley Savings Bank, Sheraton Suites, SGS Tool, Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, Americhem, Falls Village, A&C Welding and Fedeli Group.
