In May 2009, the City of Cuyahoga Falls was awarded a Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Grant from the Ohio Department of Development in the amount of $783,204 to purchase six vacant, foreclosed homes in the community.
Mayor Don Robart is proud to announce the sixth house has been completely rehabbed and sold to a qualified owner occupant. A Heslop home located at 1967 Searl Street has been fully renovated and includes three bedrooms (two up and one down), two full baths, and a fully improved kitchen with new appliances. The garage has also been sided to match the house.
Testa Builders prepared the specifications while working directly with City staff to meet the needs of today’s homeowners. Work began on September 22, 2011 and was completed in less than ninety days. The ultimate result is a beautiful home that we are proud to announce received a purchase offer before its completion.
Please join us for an open house to tour the recently completed and sold NSP home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at 1967 Searl Street. Please join Mayor Don Robart and Joel Testa along with members of their staff for this wonderful event.
