Mayor Don L. Robart proudly announces the 7th Annual Ice Rink Opening Celebration on Saturday, November 26, 2011. "Attendance grows each year as the rink increases in popularity", commented Mayor Robart. "We are delighted to continue this fabulous tradition for our residents". The Ice Rink at Falls River Square is recognized throughout the region as a family-friendly destination location and this year is certainly no exception.
At 12:00 noon, on November 26th, the rink will open for a full day of skating, mingling and merriment for adults and kids of all ages, with the following events planned:
12:00 noon - 9:00 pm FREE admission to the rink all day
12:00 noon - 5:00 pm Holiday shopping in the Pavilion
12:30 - 5:30 pm FREE train rides on the Falls River Square Express
1:00 - 4:00 pm Visit with Santa inside the Pavilion ~ bring your cameras!
5:30 pm Community Tree Lighting Ceremony
Kids of all ages can visit with Santa from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. A free gift will be given to each child that visits.
Santa, courtesy of New Day Fellowship. Costumed characters will be spreading holiday cheer throughout the afternoon, as well as carolers caroling and music playing.

Dozens of vendors will be in the Pavilion throughout the afternoon selling unique gift items ranging from handmade candles, jewelry, accessories, kids crafts and books, art, pottery, Christmas ornaments, candies, chocolates and so much more!
The Snack Shack at the Ice Rink will be open daily during rink hours with hot beverages and snacks. The Ice Rink at Falls River Square is open November 26, 2011 through February 20, 2012.
