The Mayor's Office would like to remind all citizens that the First Tuesday Program, where citizens may meet with the Mayor one-on-one to present any concerns or ideas for making the city a better place to live, will continue on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The date has moved to the following next day due to a scheduling conflict.
The Mayor's First Tuesday Program has now in its eighteenth year, and to this date, the Mayor has seen well over 3,500 citizens regarding a wide variety of issues.
Mayor Robart has described his meetings with the public as being very constructive and he feels that most residents leave his office on a very positive note. The Mayor commented, "We might not be able to solve everyone's problem, but I believe most people leave here feeling that their Mayor and city government are very approachable and willing to listen to their concerns."
Mayor Robart has always insisted on an "open door" policy, but Mayor's First Tuesday provides residents with an additional opportunity to meet the Mayor one-on-one. For an appointment, please call 330-971-8200.
