Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Mayor Don Robart officially kicks off the winter season with the 4th Annual Opening Celebration of the Ice Rink at Falls River Square on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 12 noon until 9:00 pm.



"This year is bigger and better than ever!" commented Mayor Robart "From free train rides outside on the FRS Express to complimentary pictures with Santa in the Pavilion, opening day promises to be one spectacular event!"



The fun begins at 12 noon as the Mayor welcomes winter on the ice rink. Exciting events are planned for the entire day including:

12:30 - 4:30 pm Free Train Rides on the FRS Express

1:30 - 4:30 pm Free Pictures with Santa in the Pavilion

5:00 pm Tree Lighting Ceremony with Mayor Robart

5:30 pm Professional Ice Skating Show with a full choir



Throughout the day, enjoy shopping in the Pavilion's Holiday Shoppe featuring homemade candles, holiday wreaths, miniature Christmas trees and much more. Located rink side, skaters can warm up with hot chocolate and coffee at the Falls River Square Lodge. For fair weather friends, folks can warm up by the fire in the Pavilion while sipping on specialty coffees and tasting sweet treats, hot soups and gourmet popcorn provided by Gothik Grounds, Metropolis Popcorn and Karin's on the Riverfront.
