For up to date information please click hereBeginning November 1, 2007 the City will begin a new contract for the natural gas aggregation program with Direct Energy, offering a one-year fixed rate of $9.854/MCF. The City is also excited to announce there is a Senior Citizen Discount! By calling Direct Energy during the enrollment period, seniors 65-years-of-age or older will receive an additional $0.10/MCF off and pay $9.754/MCF. Seniors will have to notify Direct Energy of their eligibility to receive the discount during their sign-up period.

Sign up information for the new rate will be coming in September, however City officials wanted to inform residents of the upcoming locked rate for those shopping around for natural gas contracts. Residents with Dominion East Ohio (as their current supplier) and residents currently with Interstate Gas Supply as part of the City's program will receive correspondence from Direct Energy explaining the new contract and options for participation. Residents on other contracts may opt-in to the program. Again, sign up information is forthcoming in September, including the sign up phone number.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is wrapping up a two-year contract with Interstate Gas Supply. Aggregation members will pay $11.67/MCF until the Direct Energy contract begins Nov. 1 2007.
