Cuyahoga Falls Online Hits Two Milestones!

Mayor Don Robart announces that Cuyahoga Falls Online, the city's eGovernment program hit two milestones this weekend. In it's first 9 months, over 10,000 payments have been made online which accounted for 1 million dollars in payments. So far, over 4300 users have signed up to use Cuyahoga Falls Online, also known as CFO.

CFO, which was introduced in October of 2005, was designed to provide centralized online access to City services via the city's Website at www.cityofcf.com. The first service to go online was the viewing and paying of utility bills. Residents can pay their Cuyahoga Falls utility bill safely and securely using Visa or Mastercard credit cards. There are no fees charged by the city for using a credit card. You can also view current billing information as well as view previous bills, payment history and utility consumption. In Parks and Recreation, residents and nonresidents can now view, register and pay for classes offered at any Park and Recreation facility online. They can also purchase or renew a Water Works Family Aquatics Center season pass, view availability of rental facilities and view other information such as past receipts, visits, and shopping history. Also this year the city added the Income Tax Preparer which assisted individuals with the preparation of their 2005 City Income Tax return.

Mayor Robart states, "It has been our commitment to stay on top of technology by using the internet as a tool to provide convenient services to the community."

CFO saves the residents time and adds the convenience of doing business with the city from their home. It also reduces the amount of traffic at city hall and increases the efficiency of providing and maintaining services.

Mayor Robart adds "We knew CFO would get a good response but the activity we have seen during the first 9 months has exceeded our expectations. We are not done yet. We are seeing consistent growth in usage and expect further growth as we continue to rollout other services."
