Registered Sex Offenders Security Program Enforced at the Natatorium

Mayor Don L. Robart announces the Natatorium will begin utilizing a "security program" to prohibit registered sex offenders use of the Natatorium facilities. For the safety of the children and adults that visit the Natatorium, we will begin cross-referencing all patrons to the State Attorney Generals statewide website of Registered Offenders. With the large amount of clientele that visit the Natatorium on a daily basis, we feel this program will surpass people's expectations on protecting children and family members while they enjoy their stay at the Natatorium.

Beginning November 1, 2005 photo ID's will be required for entrance into the facility for anyone 16 years of age and older. Everyone who enters the building will need to show some form of valid photo identification. This includes monthly and annual members, guests, spectators and daily visit users. Those patrons who do not have a CfOne card or valid driver's license issued in their name, will be required to additionally supply name, address, phone # and age to the front desk for verification.

Mayor Robart stated, "Although the average Natatorium user may experience a slight inconvenience, I feel the safety and protection of particularly our young users, makes it well worth the effort."
