The All Kid's Carnival is Here!

*REVISED* Lane Restrictions on Portage Trail Near Riverfront Mall

Eric M. Czetli, Director of Public Service, would like to alert residents and motorists that the lane restrictions on Portage Trail have been rescheduled to Friday, July 25, 2014, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  During that time, Portage Trail will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Second Street and the southbound entrance ramp to Route 8.   Work is scheduled to be done in the crosswalk connecting Riverfront Mall on either side of Portage Trail.

Valley Vista Wading Pool Down For Maintenance

Valley Vista wading pool is down for maintenance until approximately 2:00 p.m. today.  Please enjoy our other park wading pools located at the Quirk Cultrual Center, Lion's Park, Linden Park, Indian Mountain Park, and Oak Park.  For further information please contact the Parks and Recreation office at 330-971-8225.

Lane Restrictions on State Road Due to Dominion East Ohio's Gas Line Replacement Project

Eric M. Czetli, Director of Public Service, would like to alert residents and motorists that beginning Tuesday, July 22, 2014, State Road will be reduced to one (1) lane in each direction at Shaw Avenue as part of Dominion East Ohio's gas line replacement project.  The work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, July 25, 2014.

Portion of HunterParkway Closed for Repair

Eric M. Czetli, Director of Public Service, would like to alert residents and motorists that today, Thursday, July 16, 2014, Hunter Parkway between Bristol Lane and Prescott Circle will be closed for road repairs. The road will reopen at 2:30 p.m. 

Emergency crews have been notified and detour signs are posted. We wish to thank the motoring public for their patience during this closure.

Grant money is now available for Summit County homeowners and landlords to address lead-based paint hazards in residential properties built before 1978.  The grant money can be used to replace parts of the house covered with lead paint, such as windows, doors, porches, wood siding, and other structures of the house. For more information about the grant, eligibility requirements, and income guidelines, please call 330-926-5631 or visit www.scphoh.org.

Water Works Family Aquatic Center Closed Rest of Day - 7/7/2014

Water Works Family Aquatic Center will be closed the rest of today (7/8/14) due to inclement weather.  The Aquatic Center will re-open tomorrow (7/8/14) at 10:30 for members (and guests of members) and 11:00a.m. for all other patrons.

Cuyahoga Falls Community Days at the Akron Zoo

In appreciation of the support of Summit County voters and residents, the Akron Zoo is, once again, offering free admission to the zoo during Cuyahoga Falls Community Days.  Beginning Sunday, August 17 through Thursday, August 21, Cuyahoga Falls residents will receive free admission to the zoo with a valid Community Day ticket.  Community Day tickets are available July 1 - August 15, 2014 for pick up at either the Akron Zoo (500 Edgewood Ave., Akron) or the Cuyahoga Falls Utility Billing office (Municipal Building, 2310 Second Street).  There is a limit of four tickets per ho
