City Implements a First-Time Homeowner Welcome Program for Qualified Home Buyers

Mayor Don Walters announces the launch of the First-Time Homeowner Welcome Program.  The premise behind the program is to provide incentives to prospective home buyers to purchase a home in Cuyahoga Falls.  When new residents sign up for City utilities, they will receive a welcome packet containing important City-related information.  The packet for a new resident qualifying under this program will include significant, cost-saving incentive offers from the City and participating local businesses.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Announces Partnership with Simple Recycling for Collection of Unwanted, Clothing & Home Goods

Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce that the Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation Department has partnered with Simple Recycling to collect unwanted clothing, shoes and home goods at the curb for City Sanitation customers on their regular weekly collection day at no additional cost. 

Change in Sanitation Schedule During the Week of Thanksgiving

Service Director, Eric M. Czetli,  announced a change in sanitation service due to the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 27, 2014.  All Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collections will be made on regularly scheduled days.  All Thursday and Friday solid waste and recycling collections will be delayed one day. Sanitation crews will work through Saturday, November 26, to complete its regular collection schedules for all Thursday and Friday customers.

The City's annual ice rink opening will take place on Saturday, November 29th!

Skating will be from 12 noon to 9pm.

Mayor Don Walters is seeking a new Planning Commission Member to replace a vacant seat on the Cuyahoga Falls Planning Commission. Deadline to apply is December 12, 2014.

Cuyahoga Falls Receives Recognition in Columbus

The City of Cuyahoga Falls was honored for its achievements during the past year at the 2014 AMP/OMEA Annual Conference.  Mayor Don Walters was recognized for his outstanding service to the Ohio Municipal Electric Association (OMEA) Board of Directors and the City was re-elected to a four-year term on the Board.

No Delay in Sanitation Service Over the Veteran's Day Holiday

Natatorium Offering New Membership Rates

Cuyahoga Falls Electric Customer Appreciation Day Thursday, October 16

Residential electric customers of the Cuyahoga Falls Electric System who were not able to pick up a Home Energy Efficiency Kit at the 2014 Public Power Week Energy EXPO, may pick one up on Customer Appreciation Day, Thursday, October 16th, at the City of Cuyahoga Falls Utility Billing Office located in City Hall, 2310 Second Street. The Utility Billing Office will be open from 8 am – 6 pm. Cuyahoga Falls Home Energy Efficiency Kits are available while supply lasts and there is a limit of one kit per customer household.
