On Monday, 2/13/12, at approximately 5:45pm, Cuyahoga Falls Police received a 911 call from the Wendy’s Restaurant at 460 Howe Ave reporting a man was smashing out the windows of the restaurant with a sledgehammer.

Prior to officers’ arrival, an off-duty Kent Ohio Police Officer, who was at Wendy’s with his son, was able to subdue the subject. There were numerous other customers in the restaurant as well.

Mayor Don L. Robart announces an enhancement to the Online Income Tax service available on the City’s website. Residents with only W2 income, who have no overpayment, and who do not owe any tax will be able to submit their return electronically without having to mail in a paper return.

Mayor Don L. Robart is pleased to announce a new program to help identify structures in the city that do not have an address number readily visible from the street. City employees, during the course of their workday will be placing door hangers on residential and commercial buildings that do not have visible address numbers. These employees will not be entering your home or building for any reason. They will only hang the marker on a door advising of the following information.
