Brownfield Program

The Cuyahoga Falls & River Corridor Comprehensive Brownfield Program will inventory, characterize, assess, conduct planning/code work and perform community outreach within all eight-city wards, with a particular emphasis along an area known as the Front Street River Corridor. This comprehensive brownfield approach will help to redevelop over 600 acres of possible brownfields within the City. The City expects this comprehensive program to aid in the creation of new jobs and housing opportunities for the residents of Cuyahoga Falls and Summit County. The City will follow USEPA’s smart and sustainable growth principles, and believes that this project can serve as a model for other communities.
