Stormwater Management is a program implemented to maintain the quality and quantity of stormwater runoff to pre-development levels.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls continues to focus on resolving existing community flooding, erosion, and water quality problems; and to address storm water impacts created by current and future development in the city by managing stormwater not only on a city-wide basis, but also using a watershed approach. This enables us to consolidate resources, within the city, and to partner with other communities within each watershed. The most important component of Stormwater Management is Public Education, because storm runoff begins with individual landowners. The way each of us handle the rain that hits our roofs effects everyone, either positively or negatively, who is downstream, and because each of us live downstream from someone, Stormwater Management is everyone’s responsibility. Therefore, we provide this educational information to help everyone responsibly and effectively address storm runoff, to minimize the impact on our neighbors and ourselves.
