The CITY OF CUYAHOGA FALLS is seeking an exceptional individual for the position of CDBG / Entitlement Administrator. This individual will be responsible for various complex administrative functions related to grant administration and community relations. The CDBG / Entitlement Administrator will assist the Director and Deputy Director of Community Development with all CDBG related duties ranging from preparing reports, monitoring all CDBG contracts and programs, federal procurement, extensive marketing programs to residents, businesses and the press via verbal and written presentations, creating all marketing and informational materials, updating the department web page and maintaining database systems. This position requires an individual be skilled in time management and have the ability to speak patiently and respectfully with the public.
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, marketing, communication or other related field is required. At least 5 years of experience in public administration, organizing and managing government communications, government events and projects, and grant administration is also required.
Qualified candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and ability to maintain continuing eligibility under the City’s driver eligibility standards.
Candidates must certify that they are a non-smoker and non-tobacco user, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, snuff, etc. and must refrain from using all tobacco products for the duration of employment with the City.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary is $52,000 with a range up to $69,112. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life insurance, pension benefits, and paid vacation.
