Our 4th annual Plant Swap was held Saturday, May 12. A great time was had by all, choosing from the many perennial plants brought to share. Mayor Robart kicked off the swap by thanking everyone for their hard work and expressing his excitement at seeing the City bright with red, white and blue flowers to help celebrate the Bicentennial! Coffee, donuts and muffins were served and the swapping began. Everyone left with a carful of plants thanks to the generosity of their fellow gardeners.
One of our long time stewards, the Presidential Park Gardeners Club, is having their annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 1423 Broad Blvd. They will have great prices on perennials, house plants and much much more! They are also having a raffle (2 tickets for $1.00 or 5 tickets for $2.00) for a Memorial Day basket full of fun! You can also try to win a beautiful designer planter or a potted patio tomato planter (free entry for every $25.00 purchase). Please come out and support your fellow AAS Stewards!
