Grant money is now available for Summit County homeowners and landlords to address lead-based paint hazards in residential properties built before 1978.  The grant money can be used to replace parts of the house covered with lead paint, such as windows, doors, porches, wood siding, and other structures of the house. For more information about the grant, eligibility requirements, and income guidelines, please call 330-926-5631 or visit www.scphoh.org.

Daytime Hydrant Flushing Schedule begins June 23rd - 06/03/14
Hydrant flushing serves an important dual purpose of removing sediment and iron deposits from the mains and it also provides a check of the working conditions of hydrants to insure the best fire protection for our community.  Hydrant flushing will occur during daytime hours—from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.—Monday through Friday.  Hydrant flushing begins June 23 and will end approximately August 15, 2014.
City-Wide Collaboration Between Mayor, Police, Fire, School Districts, Businesses and Hospital Launches Massive Anti-Drug Campaign Against Methamphetamine and Heroin Use - 05/30/14
In a widespread collaboration, the Cuyahoga Falls community has come together to launch “Not Me, I’m Drug Free,” an anti-drug campaign that unites the Mayor’s office, Cuyahoga Falls and Woodridge school districts, police department, fire department, community businesses and Western Reserve Hospital in an unprecedented effort to curb drug abuse — especially meth and heroin — in Cuyahoga Falls. The “Not Me, I’m Drug Free” campaign is designed to educate Cuyahoga Falls elementary school students about the dangers of using meth and heroin by connecting with them using Facebook, yard signs, posters, T-shirts, incentive cards and much more.
