Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department Named 2012 Tree Line USA - 05/09/12
Lincoln, Neb. (April 12, 2012) — The Arbor Day Foundation has named Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department a 2012 Tree Line USA in honor of its commitment to proper tree pruning, planting and care in the provider’s service area. This is the twelfth year of recognition for Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department.

Cuyahoga Falls Receives National Recognition for Reliable Electric Operations - 04/16/12
The Cuyahoga Falls Electric System is one of 176 of the nation’s more than 2,000 public power utilities to earn Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3®) recognition from the American Public Power Association for providing consumers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service. Brent McKinney, manager, electric transmission and distribution at City Utilities of Springfield, Mo., and chair of APPA’s RP3 Review Panel, presented the designees on April 16 during the association’s annual Engineering & Operations Technical Conference held in Cleveland, Ohio. Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart, commends "The entire Electric Department on their efforts to achieve this important status."
