Sanitation Service Delayed One Day During Memorial Holiday

Service Director Valerie Wax Carr announces that Collection crews will not be working Monday, May 27, 2013 due to the Memorial Day holiday. All customers’ collections will be delayed one day. Refuse and recycle crews will work Tuesday through Saturday. If you have any questions, you may contact the Sanitation Department directly at (330) 971-8010.
Public Presentation: The Gorge Terrace Trail & Greenway Plan

Mayor Don L. Robart is inviting the public to attend a meeting to present and discuss initial design work for the Gorge Terrace Trail & Greenway Plan. The primary planning area will include Front Street, from Chestnut Boulevard to the Akron Corporation line; Second Street, from Chestnut Boulevard to the Front Street intersection; and the Gorge Terrace Neighborhood.
GPD Group, the project consultant, will present initial planning designs that include the:

Yard Waste Carts Available in June

Due to the enormous success of the pilot program last year, Cuyahoga Falls Mayor, Don L. Robart, is pleased to announce the availability of yard waste carts for Cuyahoga Falls sanitation customers. The 95 gallon tan carts can be used in place of the paper yard waste bags to dispose of yard debris (grass clippings, branches, etc., but no dirt or rocks). They will be available for delivery for a $25 deposit starting in June to those who meet qualifications.
State Road Widening - ODOT Project Update

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will begin the State Road Widening Project on Monday, May 6, 2013. State Road, between Graham Road and Quick Road will have various lane restrictions for roadway widening. This work is part of an $8.4 million project to widen State Road from Graham Road to Quick Road. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by July 2015.
