Mayor Don L. Robart and the Bicentennial Executive Committee announce the availability to purchase Cuyahoga Falls Bicentennial T-shirts, hats, candles, and cookbooks to proudly help support and promote the City's 200th Birthday in 2012.  The 10-day Bicentennial Celebration is scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2012 through Sunday, August 12, 2012.  ALL T-SHIRT SIZES NOW AVAILABLE!
Memorial Day Parade Celebrates its 80th Year - 05/24/12
The Memorial Day Parade will celebrate its 80th year in Cuyahoga Falls as the oldest and largest parade in Summit County.  The parade is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 am, Monday, May 28, 2012 at Portage Trail and Lillis Drive. The City's Bicentennial and the War of 1812 will be commemorated this year during the parade.  A ceremony will follow the parade at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery to honor those who gave their life for their country. Sanitation Service Delayed One Day During Memorial Day Holiday - 05/24/12
 Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service, announces that Collection crews will not be working Monday, May 28, 2012 due to the Memorial Day holiday.  All customers’ collections will be delayed one day.  Refuse and recycle crews will work Tuesday through Saturday.  If you have any questions, you may contact the Sanitation Department directly at (330) 971-8010.
2012 Hydrant Flushing Program - 05/24/12
Valerie Wax Carr, Director of Public Service, announces the 2012 Hydrant Flushing Program at which time, the Cuyahoga Falls Water Utilities Department flushes and tests all fire hydrants in the City.  This program serves an important dual purpose of removing sediment and iron deposits from the water mains and providing a check of the working condition of hydrants to insure the best possible fire protection for the community. This program will begin on MONDAY, June 4, 2012 and will continue until all lines and hydrants have been cleaned.  The program is expected to be completed by FRIDAY, July 20, 2012.
Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department Named 2012 Tree Line USA - 05/09/12
Lincoln, Neb. (April 12, 2012) — The Arbor Day Foundation has named Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department a 2012 Tree Line USA in honor of its commitment to proper tree pruning, planting and care in the provider’s service area. This is the twelfth year of recognition for Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department.
